Phone Volunteering at the KCBX Pledge Drive

Do you have a few hours of free time in March and September? Would you like to help answer the phones during our semi-annual Pledge Drives at KCBX?

It's a great opportunity to meet the staff, see your public radio station in action and up close, and socialize with other KCBX supporters. Basic computer skills are required since pledges are entered directly into our computer database. To get a feel for the program, click here to check out our online tutorial.

The Spring Pledge Drive dates are Monday, March 15 through Saturday, March 27, 2010 (no fundraising on Sunday, March 21.) Here is the schedule of time slots that need to be filled:

Let us know which day and time slot you would like to sign up for by calling our office at 549-8855 (M-F, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), or by sending an e-mail to paul@kcbx.org. We request that you plan to arrive at the station (4100 Vachell Lane, San Luis Obispo - click for map) about ten minutes before your shift begins. And don't forget to take the online tutorial. Even if you've taken pledges on this system before, the tutorial provides a good brush-up.
